I like how you feel like you're inside each character's mind and you get to read what they're thinking. That and I like how she writes from all the perspectives, including the villains and minor characters. I'm not what you would call an avid book reader, but waiting so long for a new RE game i needed somthing to satisfy my RE craving. I tried The Umbrella Conspiracy just for kicks, and COULD NOT put it down. Like you said, it's like reading a story about YOU playing the game. Perry actually follows the path you play through the games, details the puzzles and makes them have more sense (especially why the crows attacked when you messed up on the "life to death" picture puzzle). I remember i went out and got the rest that were available, i read City of the Dead before Caliban Cove. then read the rest in order. If you want to relive the games from another perspective, these books are it.

Underworld's good. the better of the two original stories, which you already read Caliban Cove. Undereworld is my favorite just for the few pages at the very end in the Epilogue... you know, the story on Trent at the end of each book, this one gets you pumped up at the end of Underworld.
