Good point David, Why didn't they make levels that you really needed to cooperate in order to play? You could really beat all of those missions by yourself if you didn't need to carry all that crap (yay Yoko). You don't really have to cooperate to clear any of File 1s scenarios either. David, I mean no offense by this, but you seem to hate about 80% of outbreak's scenarios. All of File 2's, and I think you once said you hate The Hive and Hellfire as well. Why did you play the game if you hated so much of it?

The only redeeming quality was online play. And with that gone, the game is stand-alone boring+frustrating.

But as great as online play was, if you hate the majority of the scenarios then what's the point of playing? I guess I just don't understand your logic...

I just stated the point of playing, online play. That doesn't mean I like the scenarios or hate them, I just enjoyed playing with others. The ability of online play is all that appealed to me when the full details were first released. Being an RE fan came second (but even I have limits of being a fan). If Outbreak came out with just single player, I would not have bothered with purchasing both of them on day 1.

I see. Oh well... Hopefully Capcom will revive the series' online mode one day. Like making a compilation on a next-gen console. Doubt they care enough to do it, but I'll always hope they do.

That's a good attitude. It makes it harder for Capcom to disappoint you any further. I personally have no hopes for online play because Capcom doesn't know how to host their own servers in America. If they did, there would be pay to play and that would keep the series upright for longer like the japan servers. Resident Evil 5 having some sort of online component just mean "blah blah blah" to me. I don't expect to see much of an online component in 5 because Capcom obvious can't hack it. Simply put, if they started out as server designers and game creators, maybe there would be hope for RE online.

I highly doubt they would even bother putting online in RE5. No other main game has had it, not much reason for RE5 to have it. Plus even if it was there I doubt it would be that good.

Leaderboards for mercenary mode is all that comes to mind when I think "online component" anyway. Of course it won't be anything special if it does include something online related. Maybe Capcom could mean online component by downloadable content. I could care less really, I'll be youtubing the storyline to RE5 anyway, rather than wasting 60 dollars.

Ah, the miracle of youtube. Indeed. Without it, I would have to buy stuff. Can you imagine that?
