the rebirth mode is fun once you get used to the game, the only thing is the pre rendered backgrounds are kinda washed out, but it doesn't really matter. i love the game! but thats just me.

I love RE:DS . It's the perfect portable of the classic RE game from 1996. Then you got Rebirth mode which does add a little spin on item locations and puzzle solving. I remember i flipped out when i first got to Richard in the hallway and actually had to physically give him CPR "myself".
Plus, finally, RE1 with NO load times, i love it, just hit a button, and the loading screen is gone.

thats what i love about it, you get to lower your time even more by skipping the scenes and door sequences it was my favorite game when it came out for ps1 and i was thrilled when i read about it being put on the DS

you're really missing out on some great gameplay experiences through the DS. RE1 is just an option for portable RE1 from PS1. But, i'm a sucker for anything RE, so of course i got it.

I don't know, I men I like everything Resident Evil, but I draw the line when I look at the fiftieth reincarnation of the same game. Capcom has made, so many versions of this game that it's not even worthy of a joke anymore. I don't think anyone besides me remembers the Game Boy color version with Nazi Jill.

Capcom does know how to cash in on their titles, thats for sure. But i will give RE DS credit, it really did up the gameplay experience from the PS1 original with the "Rebirth" mode, rearranging items and enhancing ALOT of the puzzles in the game.
