Since Friday (Nov 16th) I've been unable to connect to RE:O. After the third step of authorization, the bar goes to 3% and freezes. After a few moments, an error message pops up saying it's either my network or the server. After changing the network settings for both my PS3 and RE:O ( tried both manual and automatic) I've still run into the problem. Capcom was unable to help me since they don't get their data until the day after. I use a PS3 to play and it worked fine before Friday. Is anyone else able to connect? I really hope it's just a problem on my end because shutting down the RE:O server would make my heart sad.

Unfortunately i don't have a solution. I've heard no word on Capcom closing the servers down for File 1, yet. I'm unable, myself, to connect, at all due to my slow, crappy net server.
Someone else here may be able to help. As soon as i hear anything i'll be sure to post back.

They aren't shut down and I'm pretty sure others are able to connect just fine, I do know that it's tricky connecting to it with a PS3 though.

Good to hear it's still up. I'm going to see if I can talk to Sony about this and if they can't help, ask Capcom again. Thanks for the replies!
Edit: I tried to connect on another DSL line and it worked perfectly. I'm guessing there is some new firewall up that my ISP forgot to mention. Hope to see you all in-game!

ok, if you got a slim PS2 with the Modem already attached you're just about set. If not, then you'll need a PS2 Modem for the older PS2 models. You need an internet/broadband connection. attach your phone or ethernet jack into your PS2.
Then you got to set up your information from your ISP into your PS2. dial up, and you should be set.
It's been awhile since i've been online with my PS2 ... there are some things I'm kinda vague on.

I'd love a slim for Xmas, the PS3's are still a little too pricey for me.

But, hey, i got my fingers crossed for ya gettin a slim PS2 for X-Mas too And the PS3's will be pricey for awhile, i don't care how low they try and drop the price
