There's a saying that goes ... "One man's garbage is another man's treasure."
And that's true with everything. You're not gonna please 100% every single person no matter the situation.
I wish you would understand, it's cool you love RE4, I'm really happy for you. But RE4 is NOT Resident Evil. Sure, it's the direction the series is going in, but it's going to take awhile for me to get use to the change.
As i said before, it took a unique gamer to play through the RE games, then replay them again because they enjoyed them so much. Many people shunned away from the series because it required thinking, patience, and exploring.
Now, wether you'll admit it or not, Capcom has cashed in on the ever so popular genre of run-n-gun games. You change the names of the characters, and take out the mentioning of the word Umbrella, name the game something like, The Las Plagas, or whatever... and if that game was released, noone would have confused it with the RE series. They may have said it was creepy like RE, but noone would've confused it with an RE title.
Read my lips, or, ummm, reads my words RE4 is a great stand alone game, that it offered nothing to the RE storyline or and nothinmg to the series for me, the ONLY thing RE4 did was bring in a new fanbase to the series who has no idea what the term survival horror means
****************************************************
And remember, this is a public forum, there's going to be people who do not share the same view as you. Just be cool and accept their opinion.
Plus, if there weren't so many of us defending the classic RE game style.... this would've been a dead thread
You're welcome
