Anyone read the original novels by Mrs. Perry? I've read them all, and really enjoyed her interpretation on the RE lore. even though, of course, there are descrepencies between the games and novels because of so many prequel and updated releases in the series.
my favorite portions are the epilogues, the story behind Trent. Especially, in bood 5, Underwrold, where you find out his past and why he has an agenda.
I hope to hear others have read these and want to hear your comments.

Actually now that you mention it I just ordered Caliban Cove and Underworld from Amazon for £1.20 the other day. I'll let you knwo know what I think of them when they come. All I got left to get is Nemesis and Code Veronica, I hope she does a RE4 one.

i usually try and look it up about once a week on what her current projects are. No RE4 listed, yet, i hope they don't pass the series off to another writer.
That's cool, you're getting Caliban Cove and Underworld, both the original stories by SD Perry. Caliban Cove is ok, probably the weakest book in the RE book series. Underworld may try to do too much, but the action and inclusion of many STARS members is well worth the read.

The only Resi books they do in the shops where I live are the Film Novelizations, and that's a big no-fly zone for me. I've yet to start reading the original stories, I have them now but I need to find time between the games and CoD4.

I once tried to find SD Perry books but then lost interest when I found out I had to try harder to get em. So now I sit here, posting in a topic of something I don't care about anymore.

I'm quite lucky. I somehow acquired about four of the seven novels from my friends who let me have them. I found the other three at various bookstores over time.
I like how you feel like you're inside each character's mind and you get to read what they're thinking. That and I like how she writes from all the perspectives, including the villains and minor characters.

Aye, I did love the different perspectives, especially funnt in City of the Dead with Annette running round with the G-Virus going "Mine mine mine mine mine!"
