Anyone a huge fan of the series? I love it as much as I do Resident Evil. Silent Hill is hella scarier than Resident Evil too!
Never got to play Silent Hill 1 though. Game is nearly $100 in more gaming stores. Silent Hill 2, 3, 4, and Origins I have played through. Only beat SH3 and Origins. SH2 I get lost too much and SH4 still scares the hell outta me. I can't pick up the controller half the time.
Out of all the Silent Hill characters I love Heather Mason the most. The only person who went to Silent Hill for revenge. Thats it! She didn't want to look for a lost one or end up there on accident, she went there to kill Claudia for killing father, whos name I can't remember at the moment.
Try playing these in a dark room with only light from the TV, at high volume, surround sound, and sitting on the ground. You'll get scared easily. Trust me on this. Oh and stick to the easy weapons, Knifing is hard in these games when you get into it later. Half way done Knifing Silent Hill 3.

I was thinking the same thing, but don't. If you want the story for Silent Hill you can look it up so you can start SH3. SH3 is the only SH that is truely a sequel. SH2 is just another person getting drawn into Silent Hill, but without it being under the control of Delia and Alessa. SH3 is Heather Mason, adopted daughter of Harry Mason and Alessa's other self, was adopted by Harry at the end of SH1. The Order of Silent Hill kept following and tracking Harry down till one day Harry had to kill a member. The police put them in the Witness Protection Program. Thats all I'ma say about that, I dun wanna ruin it for ya.
Sh4 is sad. It really wasn't ment to be a SH game. The only reason it has any connection to SIlent Hill is because Walter Sullivian, a character mentioned VERY breifly in SH2, is the main villian. You visit Silent Hill I think twice during the entire game. The game really takes place in a town not too far from Silent Hill.
If you have any SH questions feel free to ask them. I read all I could on SH as well as RE so I know quite a bit. I'm not a complete expert when it comes to playing Silent Hill however.

I've played Silent Hill 3 and 4. I've already beaten 3 but not yet 4. Got stuck in the second half of the game with a very small amount of health.

I know what ya mean. What I do in SH4 is I only fight whenI need to. If Eileen is about to be attacked I'll strike. If not than I book it an dhope she isn't too far behind.
Stick with the Axe the entire time. That weapon is the single most power offensive weapon in the game. You can swing it fast, its very powerful, and when you do the charge attack you're immune to attacks while doing it. Plus the charge attack is a 1 hit KO on things you can KO. Ghosts suck sinc eyou cna't kill them but oh well.

What's worse is that I'm out of recovery items, the room's trying to kill me, Walter's chasing me and I think a ghost may be near if I continue.
I don't know how to escape from Walter since Eileen runs slower and she can't catch up. What will happen if she gets left behind?
Oh and I'm stuck in the second part of the Water Prison.

You're on ya own mate. I'm stuck in the Forest Part2. You can beat Walter to death, but he'll get back up after a bit. Eileen only runs slow when she is injuried. She normally runs fast. Only way to heal Eileen is to use one of the candles near her.

Minor spoiler here, but it may help you.. Eileen (mostly) has unlimited health, but the more damage she takes during the game the faster she will walk in the final boss fight. See, while you are fighting the final boss, she is hypnotized and is walking towards this magic circle thing in the middle of the room. If she reaches it, she dies, and you get one of the sad endings.
