I thought in terms of story, Resident Evil 4 strayed too far. I felt that it had no real connection to the other games. Umbrella's finished... OK, great? Also, I kind of have a split view about Leon's transformation from RE 2 to RE 4. I was drawn to his character because of his average joe abilities which created a harder game, but then again, the moves he has in Resident Evil 4 are too cool. Overall, I think it's the enemies who should be given an upgrade now, not the main character. The camera angles make for more realistic battles and while RE4 didn't scare me as much as say the RE remake did, I feel it was because there was much less of zombies crashing through windows and was more of there are ganados in the next area. You knew what to expect, thus it wasn't as scary.
Going back to the story for a moment, I prefer traditional T-virus zombies over the enemies we saw in RE4. It's true, the enemies in RE4 could run, but when they got real close they started walking like idiots. And even running, they didn't go that fast. Some zombies in Resident Evil Outbreak could stagger faster than the ganados in RE4. Something is just better about enemies who not only want to kill you, but also want to eat your flesh!
