Had a funny story happen to me during RE1 REmake just thought i'd share here. Last night i was on the phone with my gf and she was playing REmake and was so scared to confront a Crimson head zombie she wouldn't play anymore. So i loaded my game up and was explaining to here about "Forrest Speyer" and his "extra" inclusion in a REmake game mode. Telling her he's scarier than a Crimson head because you can't kill him, or his attached grenade assortment will explode and kill you. Well, i started a "ONCE AGAIN..." game and got the arrow head and went and got the first mansion key, and went to the 2nd floor of the Dining Room where he is always waiting for me. When i entered i didn't hear him running at all. I relaxed and told her, "Well, he's not here, oh well, i coulda sworn that---" at that moment he came on screen and was running right at me, his footsteps and grenades clanking together, I screamed so loud and so long, she was just laughing up a storm cause i kept telling her there's nothing that scary in REmake to be that afraid of to stop playing the game. We laughed for about 30 minutes straight after that. I haven't been that panicked from an RE game in along time Point is, there's still scares to have from the original RE games, even when you think you've seen it all

I hate that dangerous zombie mode! And the fact that you can't get rid of it, so I just made a separate file for Jill and Chris to avoid it. (You don't get it unless you beat both stories on the same file)

Yeah! It adds a little more tension to a "Once Again..." game, but like you said, i created a separate save so i could play once again... without the added Forrestr Speyer tracing my steps.
It's a fun and creepy addition to the game. No lie though, he scared the bageezes oughtta me,. just because i knew he was there, but he still suprised me out of nowhere.

LOL ;D it does and it doesn't!
Just the fact that he does hunt you down through certain corridors in the mansion randomnly, though, it does add an extra "creepy" factor into the game during the Mansion scenes.
Have you tried "Invisible Enemy" mode? There's a real challenge. not only can you not see the enemies, but you're "auto-aim" function for your weapon is disabled.

I hear if you beat invisible enemy mode in under 5 hours you unlock a bunch of illustrations and letter from the game director or something...I doubt I could do it.

It's pretty much like playing the memory game, you really have to know where the zombies start in each room, before venturing invisible mode. but, hey, you can't fear what you can't see
