I was messing around with a picture of Alyssa's C Costume and made her look really dark and evil. I thought I'd show it here. =)

Well wizards make potions too, so do witches and sorcerers. I know cause I used to be into that stuff, I even have a book on real wizardy. =)
The thing with wizards is that they focus on a variety of magic rather then just one thing. They gather knowledge from a variety of magic sources. I mentioned the potion thing because George makes medicine from herbs which is basically what potions are too, they're medicine brewed from herbs.

I thought this would be a fun topic to discuss what type of characters you think the Outbreak Cast would be in an RPG like Dungeons and Dragons. Here is what I think:
Kevin: Kevin would be the main hero of the game and probably a warrior-type who uses a sword. He has the laid-back personality of a typical rpg warrior who likes to make jokes and rushes into a fight without thinking.
Mark: Mark would defenetly be a soldier-type like a knight. He would be the oldest character with the most health and would be the one who would use heavy blunt weapons like a war hammer. He would also be a sort of father-figure to the main hero (even though he and Kevin don't get along in Outbreak)
Jim: Jim I would see being a theif who is obsessed with money and treasure. He would be good at dissappearing (similar to his play dead ability). Every time the cast enters a dungeon his focus would be stealing treasure.
George: I could see George being a wizard-type who mixes potions and has a large amount of knowledge based on magic and legends. He would mostly attack with spells.
David: I could see David being an assassin-type character with a dark personality. He would be skilled with knives and bows and would be the sort of character working for the main evil in the story but would turn good in the end to help the heroes.
Alyssa: I could see Alyssa being a soldier-type who is very arrogant and looks down on men and commoners. She would probably also use a sword and be very deadly in combat.
Cindy: Cindy would defenetly be the magic-princess type who the main hero falls in love with. She would be the weakest character but good at using healing spells to help her allies. She'd also most likely die in the end either saving the hero or being used in a sacriface by the main evil.
Yoko: Yoko would be an elf who is skilled in magic and has a high resistance to magic (like her low virus gauge). She'd probably also be a 200 year old elf child who informs the other heroes about the truth of the main evil because her people have been around forever and know all about it.

Actually Fatal Frame isn't based on a "True Story", it's actually based on several ghost legends in Japan. The house in FF1 was based on a real Haunted House in Tokyo and the village in FF2 was based on a legend of a village that dissappeared years ago (so was the village in Siren), but there were never any psychic girls named Miku, Mio, or Mayu who went into these places and faught ghosts with a magic camera.

I've played House of the Dead, Evil Dead: Hail to the King, and Siren which I guess can be counted as a zombie game (You fight undead rotted villagers, but unlike regular zombies they are very intellegent, use weapons like sickles and guns, and can't be killed nor do they eat flesh).

WellI finally have the game an I'm close to beating it. It really is an awesome game and I love how it makes fun of those Teen Horror Films like Nightmare on Elmstreet while still having a serious plot.
So far my favorite characters are all the girls because they're so cool. The guys I don't like as much because they're all your sterotypical macho movie heroe types who like to blow everything up. Stan is a lot cooler then he was in OC1 when he was just a pot head who didn't want to help anybody.

I agree with Foxy, as much as I like Yoko she really isn't the best character for begininners because she can die very quickly and sucks with weapons. Plus not to mention she's the slowest character.
In my opinion Kevin and Mark are the best characters for rookies because they both have very high health and are the most suited for combat. Kevin can run fast, has high health, and starts with a powerful gun suited for boss fights and can perform a useful pot shot that makes his 45 Automatic like a magnum. Mark on the other hand while slow has the highest amount of health, starts with a handgun, and can be useful with melee weapons. Unfortunetly he can't hide due to his weight but he makes up for it with a block ability.
The rest of the characters are really only good once you've mastered the game.

My abosolute womane favorite scene was the beginning of re3 when it showed the zombies attack the city. It was so cool to see the actual outbreak in the city.

Don't worry, I know everything about the game so I think I know what you're talking about.
